What is e-mail

Email is a shortened version of the two words 'electronic' and 'mail' and can be considered the electronic version of the letter.
Email is one of the most used and popular services on the Internet.
Email enables messages to be transferred from an individual to another individual or from an individual to a group of people.
Documents (audio, video, pictures etc.) can be attached to email messages and sent with the message.
Email can be sent and viewed various ways - the most common through a computer program, such as 'Outlook'.
Email can be sent to anywhere in the world and viewed whenever the recipient logs onto the Internet and checks their ‘mailbox’ where emails are stored.

What is Spam?

Spam is the email equivalent of junk mail or nuisance phone calls.
Spam can simply be defined as all unsolicited electronic mail sent out in bulk to individuals/organisations that have not consented to receive it.
Spam comes under a number of classifications:
Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) which usually advertises a product or service.
Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE) which is used for things like lobbying.
Chain letters and pyramid schemes and emails relating other fruadulent schemes such as phishing.
Messages sent to a recipient who had agreed to receive mail but has subsequently opted-out.
Any email without an Opt-out facility.
Where an Opt-out facility is provided but it is deliberately misleading or difficult to activate.
Any email that does not have a valid address in the reply to line.

Definition of psychology?

Scientific study of human behavior, mental processes, and how they are affected and/or affect an individuals or group's physical state, mental state, and external environment. It's goal is to describe, understand, predict, and modify behavior. Psychology can be dated as beginning as early as Hippocrates in 400BC, or even before. ...

Symptoms.

Intermittent Explosive Disorder is marked by several discrete episodes of failure to resist aggressive impulses that result in serious assaultive acts or destruction of property.
The degree of aggressiveness expressed during the episodes is grossly out of proportion to any precipitating psychosocial stressors.
The aggressive episodes are not better accounted for by another mental disorder (such as Antisocial Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, a Psychotic Disorder, a Manic Episode, Conduct Disorder, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and are not due to the direct physiological effects of a substance (such as a medication or a drug of abuse) or a general medical condition (such as head trauma, Alzheimer's disease)
Individuals with Intermittent Explosive Disorder sometimes describe intense impulses to be aggressive prior to their aggressive acts. Explosive episodes may be associated with affective symptoms such as irritability or rage, increased energy, and racing thoughts during the aggressive impulses and acts, and rapid onset of depressed mood and fatigue after the acts. Some individuals may also report that their aggressive episodes are often preceded or accompanied by symptoms such as tingling, tremors, palpitations, chest tightness, head pressure, or hearing an echo. This disorder may result in job loss, school suspension, divorce, difficulties with interpersonal relationships or other impairment in social or occupational areas, accidents (such as in vehicles), hospitalization because of injuries from fights or accidents, financial problems, incarcerations or other legal problems.

Web hosting

What is "Web Hosting"?

When you visit a web site (like BBC or Yahoo) that web page has to be physically stored somewhere. Web Hosters, like Burton Hosting, offer the space to store web pages. The space the pages are stored on is called a server. Leasing space on a server is comparable to leasing office space. For a monthly/yearly fee, a company resides in that space, and all maintenance is the responsibility of the property. As part of the lease, the company has access to additional services that would otherwise be a costly investment. Burton Hosting stores Web sites on its secure servers, enabling programmers to affordably leverage the power of the latest in programming technology and redundancy over a high-speed network.

Jaundice

What is Jaundice?

Jaundice means the yellow appearance of the skin and whites of the eyes that occurs when the blood contains an excess of the pigment called bilirubin. Bilirubin is a natural product arising from the normal breakdown of red blood cells in the body and is excreted in the bile, through the actions of the liver.

Blood pressure

The force of blood exerted on the inside walls of blood vessels. Blood pressure is expressed as a ration (eg 120/80) The first number is the systolic pressure, or the pressure when the heart pushed blood out into the arteries. The second number is the diastolic pressure, or the pressure when the heart rests.

High blood pressure : 140/90,

Types of high blood pressure
Primary hypertension
More than 9 in 10 people with high blood pressure have what's called 'primary' or 'essential hypertension'. This means that there's no single clear cause of it.
Although the exact cause of high blood pressure isn't fully understood, it's known that some factors to do with your lifestyle can contribute. These include:
smoking
your family history
obesity (being very overweight)
drinking a lot of alcohol - especially if you binge drink
a lack of exercise
your diet
Secondary hypertension
Around 5 in 10 people with high blood pressure have 'secondary hypertension'. This means your condition can be linked to a recognised cause - in fact, it may be a symptom of another underlying disease or factor such as:
kidney disease
endocrine disease
narrowing of the aorta
steroid medicines
the contraceptive pill
pregnancy, which can cause pre-eclampsia
Symptoms
Most people with high blood pressure don't have any symptoms.
People with severe high blood pressure or a rapid rise in blood pressure may also experience headaches, blurred or impaired vision, fits or black-outs.
Complications
People with high blood pressure have an increased risk of major illnesses including:
cardiovascular disease such as angina, stroke, heart attack or atrial fibrillation
kidney damage
damaged sight
Diagnosis
As most people with high blood pressure don't have any symptoms, they are diagnosed when they have their blood pressure taken as part of a medical examination. That's one good reason to have a regular check-up with your doctor, especially if you're over 50.
Your doctor may request that you come back for repeat measurements over a number of weeks before suggesting that you have treatment. This is so he or she can check that the high reading is an ongoing problem and not a one-off.
You may also need some tests to see if high blood pressure is having an effect on the rest of your body. These may include:
an analysis of your urine (protein in your urine may be the first sign of a kidney problem)
a blood test, to check your cholesterol and blood sugar levels as well as the condition of your kidneys
an ECG (electrocardiogram), which records the electrical changes happening in your heart
Monitoring
24-hour ambulatory monitoring
You may need 24-hour testing to measure your blood pressure over 24 hours. A monitoring device will be strapped round your waist and it will be attached to a cuff wrapped around your upper arm. The cuff will inflate and deflate throughout the 24 hours and take blood pressure recordings.
Blood pressure monitors
You might consider getting a blood pressure monitor to use yourself at home - discuss this option with your doctor, who should be able to help you choose a suitable one. The Blood Pressure Association (see Further information) also has advice and a list of suppliers.
It is important to take readings on different days - for example you should not just measure yourself when you feel stressed. Set days in the week to take the measurement so that you can get an objective reading.
You should continue to get your blood tested regularly by your doctor even if you use a blood pressure monitor at home.
Treatment
Slightly raised blood pressure may not need to be treated so aggressively, but regular monitoring is important.
If you have very severe high blood pressure, you may need to go to hospital for treatment. But it's much more likely that you will be cared for by your GP and/or a nurse.
Lifestyle changes
First, your doctor or nurse is likely to discuss lifestyle changes which might help lower your blood pressure. He or she might, for example, advise you to:
stop smoking - for more information on quitting smoking please see the separate BUPA factsheet, Giving up smoking
change your diet to a low fat, low salt diet that includes fruit and vegetables - for more information about healthy diet, please see the separate BUPA factsheet, Healthy eating
cut down on alcohol
get some regular moderate exercise - for more information, please see the separate BUPA factsheet, Physical activity
lose any excess weight
It may also help to try to reduce the stress in your life to avoid short-term rises in blood pressure - try relaxation techniques or meditation.
Drug treatments
If your blood pressure remains high, your doctor may prescribe you one or more of the following antihypertensive drugs.
ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor antagonists (eg ramipril, losartan) - these make the walls of the blood vessels relax and widen.
Calcium channel blockers (eg amlodipine) or alpha blockers (eg doxazosin) - these help widen the blood vessels.
Diuretics (eg bendroflumethiazide) - these increase the amount of water and salt removed from your blood by your kidneys. This triggers hormones which lower blood pressure.
Beta-blockers (eg atenolol) - these drugs reduce the work your heart has to do, by reducing your pulse rate at times when it may beat too forcefully such as during exercise or when you are feeling stressed..........

diabeties

WHAT IS DIABETES?

Diabetes is a condition where the body is unable to automatically regulate
blood glucose levels, resulting in too much glucose (a sugar) in the blood.
Glucose comes from foods that contain carbohydrate (starches and sugars);
for example, breads and cereals, milk and dairy foods, fruits and some
vegetables and travels to the muscles and other organs where it is used as
fuel. Excess glucose is detoured to the liver where it may be stored for future
use. Glucose is the body’s preferred source of energy and our bodies need it
to work efficiently, just like a car needs petrol to run.
The blood glucose level is regulated with the help of insulin, a hormone (or

What is Hernia

Hernia is the protrusion of an organ (small bowel, large bowel, ovary, etc..) through a weakness in the abdominal wall. This weakness can be congenital (umbilical hernias, epigastric, inguinal hernias) or acquired (some inguinal hernias), and following abdominal operations..

Hernia types?

Inguinal hernia, Umblical hernia, Incisional hernia,Femoral hernia,Epigastric hernia.......

Symptoms of hernias?

vary, depending on the cause and the structures involved. Most begin as small, hardly noticeable breakthroughs. At first, they may be soft lumps under the skin, a little larger than a marble; there usually is no pain. Gradually, the pressure of the internal contents against the weak wall increases, and the size of the lump increases.
Early on, the hernia may be reducible - the protruding structures can be pushed back gently into their normal places. If those structures, however, cannot be returned to their normal locations through manipulation, the hernia is said to be irreducible, or incarcerated.

Treatment of Hernia?

For small, non-strangulated and non-incarcerated hernias, various supports and trusses may offer temporary, symptomatic relief. However, the best treatment is herniorrhaphy (surgical closure or repair of the muscle wall through which the hernia protrudes).
When the weakened area is very large, some strong synthetic material may be sewn over the defect to reinforce the weak area. Postoperative care involves protecting the patient from respiratory infections that might cause coughing or sneezing, which would strain the suture line. Recovery is usually quick and complete.
What is Apachi server?

Apache is a multi-platform open source HTTP web server for BSD, Linux, Unix, and even Windows systems. It is the most popular web server in use, against which all other web servers are compared. It easily handles static and dynamic content, boasts several GUI interfaces, and is highly customizable thanks to the many modules that extend its core functionality. From installing Apache to hardening it against attacks, you can find the Apache information you need right here.

What is Samba server?

It act as a bridge between windows and linux operating system.
Transmission control protocol/Internet protocol.....

A communication protocol is a description of the rules computers must follow to communicate with each other. The Internet communication protocol defines the rules for computer communication over the Internet.

Your e-mail program uses TCP/IP to connect to the Internet for sending and receiving e-mails.

Your Internet address "122.164.173.23" is a part of the standard TCP/IP protocol. (And so is your domain name www.someonesplace.com)

TCP/IP is the communication protocol for communication between computers connected to the Internet.
TCP/IP stands for Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol.
The standard defines how electronic devices (like computers) should be connected to the Internet, and how data should be transmitted between them.

Tcp is an connection oriented it means user send the request means end user send the replay at the same time(like telephone connection).

Ip is an connection less protocol it means the request only send response should not receive(like postal card).

Different between XML and HTML

XML was designed to describe data and to focus on what data is.

HTML was designed to display data and to focus on how data looks.

HTML is about displaying information, while XML is about describing information.

XML

What is XML?

XML stands for EXtensible Markup Language
XML is a markup language much like HTML
XML was designed to describe data
XML tags are not predefined. You must define your own tags
XML uses a Document Type Definition (DTD) or an XML Schema to describe the data
XML with a DTD or XML Schema is designed to be self-descriptive
XML is a W3C Recommendation

Database

Database Programming in C# with MySQL : Using OleDB,

Persisting the data processed by an application has become the norm. The data can be stored either in a file system using normal files or in databases. The functionalities provided by database packages make them a more attractive proposition. With the advent of open source database products such as MySQL, the use of databases for data persistence has become more or less ubiquitous. Hence, no language or platform can ignore the need to provide libraries to access databases, especially MySQL, and .Net as a platform and C# as a language are no exceptions.
There are three main Data Providers, as the database access APIs are known in .Net, which are the SQL Data Provider, the OleDB Data Provider and the ODBC Data Provider. Of these I will be focusing on the OleDB Data Provider and using it to work with a MySQL database. The first and second sections of this article will provide insight into the various APIs that form the OleDB. The third section will detail the steps required to access MySQL using OleDB. In the last section, I will develop a real-world application that implements the theory provided in the first three sections. That's the outline for this discussion.

OleDB: What is it?

OleDB is one of the three Data Providers supported by .Net. It is part of the System.Data namespace; specifically, all the classes of OleDB come under the System.Data.OleDb namespace. OleDB had been around before .Net came into the picture. The OleDB Provider provides a mechanism for accessing the OleDB data source (databases that could be connected through OleDB) in the managed space of .Net. In essence, the OleDB Data Provider sits between a .Net-based application and OleDB. The main classes that form the OleDB Data Provider are:

OleDbConnection(oledbcon)
OleDbCommand(oledb com)
OleDbDataAdapter(oledb da)
OleDbDataReader(oledb dr)

Most of the classes are arranged in a hierarchical manner, that is, one provides an instance of the other. For example, OleDbCommand provides an instance of OleDbDataReader.
OleDbConnection represents a connection with a data source such as a database server. Each connection represented by OleDbConnection's instance is unique. When an instance of OleDbConnection is created, all its attributes are given or set to their default values. If the underlying OleDB Provider doesn't support certain properties or methods, the corresponding properties and methods of OleDbConnection will be disabled. To create an instance of OleDbConnection, its constructor has to be called with a connection string. The connection string specifies the parameters needed to connect with the data source. The following statement shows an example of this:
OleDbConnection conn = new OleDbConnection( "Provider=MySqlProv;" + "Data Source=localhost;" + "User id=UserName;" + "Password=Secret;");
The above example provides a connection to MySQL server at local machine.
OleDbCommand represents a command to be executed against a data source connected through an OleDbConnection instance. In the context of databases the command can be a SQL statement or a stored procedure. To get an instance of OleDbCommand, its constructor has to be called with an instance of the OleDbConnection class and the string containing the SQL query to be executed. For example, the following statement creates an instance of an OleDbCommand named command:
string queryString = "SELECT OrderID, CustomerID FROM Orders";OleDbCommand command = new OleDbCommand(queryString, conn);

Can J2EE and .NET Provide Cross-Platform Interoperability?

Microsoft's .NET Framework and Sun's J2EE technologies are both very popular programming platforms. The two companies have historically been fiercely competitive with each other (though that has been less true over the past few months). Can platforms from these two companies interoperate? Dwight Peltzer addresses this question.
There are many innovative approaches to achieving interoperability between Microsoft's .NET Framework and J2EE technologies. Interop software solutions are broken down into two categories: software development tools, and plug and play tools. I will also discuss other interop technologies from both J2EE and .NET such as Microsoft’s Advanced Remoting technology and Sun Microsystems’s approach with SOAP to Web services.
This article chiefly serves as a brief overview of J2EE and .NET, their architecture and functionality, and then introduces a third party interoperability business solution from JNetDirect Software.
Much has been written about application integration and interoperability between legacy systems and new emerging technologies, and a variety of approaches towards merging the old with the new have been suggested. The rivalry between Java fans and .NET loyalists always causes endless debates around the issue of market dominance and access to platforms in various computing environments. Such discussions invariably lead to the following question: if both Java and Microsoft are committed to providing services for clients, wouldn’t both parties eventually want to share a common goal and conform to a set of standards that would benefit all developers, albeit Java or .NET?
Corporations have invested much time and money in developing legacy systems. It seems logical that eventually.NET will migrate towards the open source community and work towards a much needed consistent set of standards. It comes as no surprise that Sun supported an initiative called the Java Community Process (JCP) for the sole purpose of soliciting suggestions from major corporations to further the improvement of all Java platforms including J2ME, J2SE, and J2EE. This opened the doors to third party vendors by allowing them to contribute further to application and cross-platform interoperability and remote access to objects.
Before we delve into application integration, we will first consider platform-independent solutions from the two major players.
